Slow-Motion Awesomeness
This is the best collection of slow motion capture scenes I have come across so far. I enjoy the first scene with the 3 wine glasses that stop the bullet with the first glass.

After hunting for a new job this year I finally impressed someone. Surprisingly I’ll be working at Microsoft starting this August. Frankly I’m just ecstatic to have a job that pays a decent salary, and working for a large reputable company will be a refreshing change of pace. Now I feel obligated to once again start using Windows machines …
I finally got wife approval to pick up a .45 Auto. I was really considering the Kimber Custom II but I ended up deciding on the Para Ordnance GI Expert. I initially really liked the weight and balance in my hand, and for me the extended beaver-tail was not a necessary feature to consider upgrading. I’ve gone through about 500 rounds at this time (about a hundred of those have been my personal reloads). I am extremely happy with my choice. I’m accustomed to my Glock and Heidi’s Sig, so field stripping has proven to be more complicated than with some firearms. I’ve been happy carrying at SOB, but with the 5” barrel length it has started wearing a hole in my shorts from sitting/moving about. I know that trigger pull can vary, but I’m very pleased with a crisp and consistent pull. I’m used to a 40 caliber round, but the larger frame takes the brunt of the recoil from the .45 auto rounds, which helps out greatly with tight groups at 25′ targets. I’ll update more as I continue to enjoy Para’s version of the classic 1911 pistol.

Heidi let me order a new Subwoofer today. I can’t wait to make my house shake …
I’ve finally gotten around to updating the blog and starting things over. More posts to come.
